Essay

The problem of county-states work on public health development in Ukraine is observed in the dissertation. The main directions and provincial achievement in the sphere of medicine are examined. The following conclu-sion concerning the fact that, in particular, county-states influenced the improvement of public health service in Ukraine in the end of XIX - the beginning of XX cen-turies. Positive factors of the county-states activity as well as negative ones, which decreased an opportunity and effectiveness of Zemstvo institutions are analyzed in the given thesis.
