Essay

The object of study - structure of cognitive process. The purpose of work is definition of specificity of scientific and artistic cognition, and also revealing of character of their interaction. Methods: the modern theoretical concepts of natural-scientific and artistic cognition, general concept of complementarity in modern philosophy. The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the problem of specificity and interaction of scientific and artistic cognition where their differentiation takes place not on the basis of opposition of image and conception that are interacted as qualitatively different psychic and conceptual units. In scientific cognition a cognitive problem which is raised by the subject considers with his dominating need the solve a cognitive problem. In artistic cognition a cognitive problem, as a rule, differs from the dominating need coming from the inner world of the subject. The interaction of scientific and artistic cognition is studied with the help of principle of complementarity by N. Bohr who considered the object in mutually exclusive, complementary systems of description. This principle gives the opportunity to reveal different definiteness in a cognizable object, that are comprehended, on the one hand, by the cognitive problem and the subject's logic and, on the other hand, by his artistic image-bearing thinking guided by the dominating need. On the interaction of scientific and artistic cognition the complementarion draws a new section in the essence of the object cognized that divides the conditions of the objects' considerations into those subjected to logic and others submitted to inimitable personal perception of the subject. The practical value of work consists in allocation of the scientifically proved factors of influence on development of artistic cognition, which frequently carry latent сharacter, that creates impression it arbitraryty. These factors (borrowing from scientific cognition of methods of analogy, abstraction, giperbolization etc.) can be useful in theircompilation on artistic cognition. Skill to operate with these factors of influence promotes the most effective organization of cognitive process. Sphere of application - scientific and teaching activity, philosophy, gnoseology.
