Essay

The dissertation is devoted to considering of artist Osyp Sorokhtey's individual creative method being a problem field of research efforts. Basis of the study consists of artist's creations with sacral contents organised in Biblical cycles. These creative works form main and most significant part of O.Sorokhtey's artistic heritage of which most apparent characteristics are new individual means of expression. Biblical cycles unite traditions of icon painting and distinct marks of expressionist stylistics. These creations are experimental and innovative ones in character.
