The dissertation is devoted to the studies on the technological quality of the varieties and hybrids of the sugar beets of the domestic and foreign selection during vegetation and the period of their technical ripeness and on changes of their chemical composition and technological indices after storage. With the aim to improve the resistance of the sugar beet during its storage the influence of the Septodor biocyde on the pure cultures of patogens Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium culmorum, Rhisopus nigricans has been investigated. The developed method of sugar beet storage has been implemented and applied in the industrial scale. The tehnological regulations for sugar beet storage with Septodor biocyde application have been developed and approved. The economic efficiency due to application of this biocyde is as follows: at the fungistatic effect – Hryvna 82/100 t beet.
