The dissertation is dedicated to the complex research of the process of arising, establishment, development and improvement of the ramified charity system of the orthodox convents, church, families of the Bobryns'kyi's counts, Vorontsov's princes, Balashov's and Jahnenko-Symyrenko's counts on the Middle Podniprovia (the end of the XVIII - the beginning of the XX centuries). The general and specific principles and tendencies of the charity development and their influence on the improvement of the social, economical, cultural and educational life of Podniprovia, Porossia and Potiasmennia are revealed.
