Essay

The work is dedicated to the experimental ascertaining of structural changes in the kidneys parenchyma of rats in general dehydration of light, mild and severe degree and at different readaptation stages in animals of various age groups. Macrometric, histologic and morphometric assessmen revealed the influence of dehydration duration on the severity of structural impairments of the filtration and reabsorption barriers. Readaptation after severe dehydration was proved to have a positive influence on macrometric, morphometric indices, regeneration of nephron components and hemocapillaries in the kidneys of rats at reproductive age, it promoting regeneration. The filtration barrier and and epithelial cells of the proximal and distal convoluted nephron canals were gradually getting normal. In readaptation after severe dehydration in the kidneys of rats at reproductive and senile age reparative processes proceeded slowly without resulting in a complete normalization of nephron structures.
