The thesis is devoted to the study of the cognitive basis of the social reality constitution. The development of the humanities in the XX century is analysed in this research. On the basis of the given analysis the conclusion about the existence of peculiar "cognitive turn" in philosophy, sociology, psychology, culture of the second half of the XX century is made. On the basis of analysis of the social subject's action the conclusion was made about the central place of the cognitive subject's world in determinism of its action. The cognitive nature of social action is the basis of social reality constitution by the subject. The cognitive world of the subject is realized as structural-organized integrity; its structure consists of three levels, each performs the definite part in the analysis of the cognitive world is grounded in the research of social reality..
