The dissertation researches into the peculiarities of occupation regime and anti-fascist Resistance movement in Lugansk Region in the period of its temporary occupation (1941-1943) on the basis of numerous sources. The work has shown that the anti-fascist Resistance movement came into existance as an alternative to the German fascist occupation regime in the circumstances of the threat to the Ukrainian people existance. The author considers the German-fascist occupation regime as a subject of struggle on the one hand and as a factor of such struggle on the other . The events have been analysed and a conclusion has been drawn that the anti-fascist Resistance movement in Voroshilovgrad Region existed in two main forms: unorganized (spontaneous resistance of civilians) and organized (the Soviet underground partisan movement and the nationalistic underground organization). It has been elicited that the motives which impelled Ukrainians to resist were various: ideological, economic and moral. The author considers that the resistance of unarmed population was going on by sabotaging military political and economic measures of invaders. The methods of such struggle have been investigated. The dissertation has elicited main trends peculiarities of the Soviet Resistance movement in the region. Besides, fighting and ideological forms of struggle of underground partisan formations on the territory of the region have been investigated on the basis of numerous documentary evidences. The work has shown contribution of these formations to All-Ukrainian anti-fascist Resistance movement. The dissertation has revealed objective and subjective factors of failures in anti-fascist struggle of the nationalistic underground organization. The research has generalized the conclusions concerning the results of anti-fascist activities of all the components of the Resistance movement in Voroshilovgrad Region.
