The thesis is devoted to the problem of the foundation and division of domains of Chernigov-Seversk princes. In this work the features of economy, agriculture, crafts, trade, centers of Chernigov land are characterized. The process of the principal occupation of Chernigov land, the features of the political system of Chernigov land, foreign and home policy of Chernigov- Seversk princes are analyzed there. The particular attention is paid to the process of the foundation of Сhernigov dynasty of the Svatoslaviches (the Olgoviches, the Davidoviches) and the foundation of their power in Chernigov - Seversk land, the centers and borders of Svatoslavichs' dominion. The author has analyzed the situation in Chernigov - Seversk land during Mongol-Tatar invasion.
