Essay

The goal of the thesis is to investigate main trends and features in the development of the noble estate in Galician Rus' in the fifteenth century. The analysis focuses on the politics of kinship of the few powerful Ruthenian noble families from Peremysl county, which resulted in the creation of the new knight clan, generally known as Korchak. The study also explores the series of land disputes which emerged in the middle of the fifteenth century in Rus' palatinate.
