Oleg S. Mythology as the subject of social-philosophical analysis

In the process of social and historical development mythology contributed to formation of societal consciousness and behaviour, in perception about word. Responding to social changes, mythology utilised its adaptive capacities, which allows to distinguish a number of narratives in intellectual-activity manifestation of mythology and perception of mythology as a cultural-social phenomenon. The researches carried out allow to conclude that mythology has rather strengthened, then lost, its influence in contemporary society, which can be defined as re-mythologisation. Strengthening of mythological components of consciousness of modern society can be regarded as a specific stage of social-philosophicsal development of cognition and establishment of integral world's outlook adjusted to man's rational and irrational abilities.
