The set of determining parameters of ATM equipment and limiting values of these determining parameters is сhosen. The maintenance models of the equipment of ground communication systems of civil aviation are developed. The general procedure of ATM equipment diagnostics is presented. This procedure allows finding out of reasons and locations of failures which arise during exploitation of such equipment.
