Wacyl H. Enlightment movement in Western Podilya in the contex of Ukrainian National and Cultural Renaissance (60-s XIX centry - 30-s XX centry).

First the complex study of the history of development of enlightment movement in Western Podilya as a factory of spiritual self-awareness of Ukrainians has been researched in the thesis. Especially attention is paid to the activity of "Prosvita" Society and others Ukrainian public associations ("Ridna shkola", "Ukrainian women s union", "Silsky hospodar", "Sich", "Soldi", "luh", "Plast"). Priority directions, forms and methods of activity of the centers of "Prosvita", dynamics of the broadening of network of branches, reading-rooms and libraries of Society, figures of the famous educational workers, their role on the forming of Ukrainian national self-consciousness of Ukrainians, spiritual revival of land are shown.
