Essay

The introgressive lines of bred wheat (Triticum aestivum) including alien genetic material from Aegilops sharonensis were characterized as for biochemical, morphological and cytological features. The lines were subjected to genetic analysis for characters of alien origin: hairy edge of leaf sheath, electroforetic spectrum of b-amylase, resistance to powdery mildew, awnedness of ear. It was established that the discrepancy between empirical sizes of phenotypic patterns and theoretical ones calculated according to Mendel's inheritance laws were always observed in generation F2 from crossing these lines with each other and the variety Aurora. The factors of segregation distortion were revealed in process of genetic analysis of the lines. The parameters, which can be assessed when studying the lines and hybrids and be used as a basis for correction of theoretically expected segregation, were determined.
