The study examines all known at the moment veracious assignations, performed by Polish kings Wladislaw II Jagiello (1402-1413, 1431-1434), Wladislaw III (1434-1444), Kazimierz (1447-1492), Jan Olbracht (1492-1501), Aleksandr (1501-1506), and Great Lithuanian Duke Vitovt (1411-1430) on the territory of Western Podillia. The main emphasis is made on the analysis of the reasons for distributing the land to particular nobles. The thesis studies the role of Podolian (Kamyanets) general capitaneus in land assignations in Podolian province.
