Object of the study: morphological characteristics of operating wound healing in experimental animals when resorbable suture materials are used. Purpose of the study: to evaluate morphological characteristics of wound process and the influence of suture material Biofil on post-operative period in experimental animals when compared with catgut and Vikril and to substantiate its application at operations on internal genitalia in women. Methods of the study: macro-microscopic, histological, histochemical, morphofunctional: temperature taking, measurement of arterial pressure, pulse, general blood analysis, cytology, radiothermometry, statistical analysis. Practical significance: the use of a biologically active suture material Biofil positively influences the course of wound process after the surgery and results in earlier normalizing of homeostasis parameters, prevents adhesion development in the abdominal cavity. The suggested new suture material Biofil preserves the morphofunctional resource and provides more complete restoration of the operated organs. The methods of evaluation of the state of the animals after the surgery are simple and practical. Informativity of hematological parameters of intoxication, cytology study of the aspirate from the abdominal cavity and ultrahigh frequency thermometry for evaluation of the course of post-operative period was shown. Novelty of the obtained results: For the first time, clinical application of a new biological resorbable suture material Biofil was substantiated experimentally and recommended. Morphological, instrumental, morphofunctional and special research methods allowed to prove objectively that Biofil, in contrast to catgut and Vikril, did not produce negative influence on the course of wound process and caused minimal inflammatory changes in the sewed tissues of the internal genitalia, it is not allergic. Introduction: the findings of the research were introduced to the teaching process of the department of operative surgery and topographical anatomy and department of human anatomy of Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy. Sphere of application: medicine, operative gynecology.
