The dissertation is devoted to the historical pedagogical analysis of the beginning and development of school musical education in Volyn. The article contains scientific research of the formation and peculiarities of musical education in educational institutions of the present province, analyses intercommunication between musical education and enlightened life in Volyn province, the work describes the musical pedagogical vocation of famous musicians, singers, composers of the end of the XIX th - XX th centuries, the article also analyses the didactic and methodical specificity of music educational institutions in Volyn province.
