CHERNIJ A. Crisis factor in the social and political transition systems.

The thesis envisions a political study of the crisis influence on transition processes of the social and political systems. The functional essence of the crisis is rather contradictory. It posses both destructive and creative dimensions, although the former determines the overall negative nature of the crisis. For the first time in the political science the role function of the crisis is analyzed. It is proved that the crisis may contain the creative essence as a part of the development processes. The paradigm re-comprehension of the crisis role made it possible to study its objective role function, to show the creative influence upon the development of the societies in the transition period (by the Ukraine and Russia examples). The problem of the crisis events is localized in the marginal sphere of conflictology. Stereotypical equation of such terms as "crisis" and "conflict" influences the objectivity of their proper functions definition during the transition period. The thesis utilizes a synergetic-based methodology, as well as integrated analysis of the crisis events aspects. Also shown is the creative role function in the global transformation processes. This fact allowed to overcome traditional contradiction between the creative ides, the scientific methods and the practical way of the theoretical works realization. Studying of the functional capabilities and the relations of the crisis events with other components of the systems evolution process allowed to determine the likely system behavior in the adverse conditions. The off-centre conceptual approach toward crisis enabled objective determination of this social phenomenon, especially its creative role in the processes of the Ukrainian state system evolution. It was proved that there is a necessity to create a new branch (sub-branch) of the scientific researches - crisology.
