The thesis based on the wide range of archival materials and printed sources deals with the socio-political, socio-economic and cultural matters concerning creation and expansion of activities of the Ukrainian civil committee in the Czechoslovakia in 1921-1925 yy. The work reveals the historical background and reasons of creation of the Ukrainian civil committee, main directions, forms and methods of its activities aimed at improving the life of Ukrainian emigrants and providing them legal assistance, creating social and cultural infrastructure. The results and consequences of the work of Ukrainian civil committee and the reasons of the decline following are analyzed.
