Essay

Prehistory, incipience, evolution and activities of the higher institutions of Ukrainian studies in Canada have been performed. Pedagogical, scholarly, and methodological aspects of their activities are investigated. The significance of the institutions in developing the teaching methodology of the bilingual Ukrainian-English education in Canada is shown. The possibilities for the utilization of the experience gained in Ukrainian schools of higher learning in Canada for the purpose of facilitating the reformation of education in Ukraine are discussed.
