Bobkov V. "Statistical Research Development in Taurida Province in the XIX - early XX centuries"

The object of the thesis is development of the statistical research in Tavrida guberniya in the XIX - early XX century. The methods of the research are those of analysis, synthesis, division into periods, classification, tipologization, prosopography, biohistoography, as well as typological, comparative, chronological, deductive, inductive, system-structural, logical, statistical, structural-functional, historical-comparative, system-historical, synchronous and retrospective methods. The received results made it possible to fill in some gaps in the problems of the native history covering. The peculiarities of the statistical research in Tavrida guberniya development were defined. They are the result of mixed ethnic population, considerable migration processes, peculiar administrative system of the territory. Both representatives of the university scientific centers and many local lore, histori and ekonomy took part in historical research in Tavrida guberniya. Activities of the administrative, zemstvoand public statistical bodies were studied in the dissertation. The sphere of application is educational activities.
