Koval A. Creation and selection of sourse material for breeding peavine with round and angularly-round form of seeds.

Object - peavine breeding with using species various by ecological and geographical origin with different morphological and biological sigus. The purpose: is to create, to select and to study new highyielding samples of peavine with round and togtooth seeds form. Methods: field and laboratory experiences, weight-measuring and calculation. Results: organized estimation of productivity and quality of grain on collection variety samples of peavine. The coefficients of mutual correlation between yield-forming components and their relation to grain yield are determined, and the pattern of economic trait variability is outlined. It is elucidated nature of inheritance (domination) of the main yield-forming traits. There were selected a number of high-yielding peavine lines which were studied in breeding nursery and check trials. The Number 307 is enclosed in reproduction as new sort under the name Spodivanka (Krasnogradskaya 9). The novelty is that the new methods in creation of source material with round and angularly-round form of seeds were worked out and highyielding samples of peavine were selected.
