Object – text as a functional system. Subject – poetical texts as a way of influence on recipient’s image of the world. Aim – to characterize a text as a functional system, which appearance, existence and structure are determined with its function. Innovation – phenomenon of the text is logically analyzed from a position of functionalism, affectivity and research potential of the functional method of analysis are proved. Practical value – the results acquired can be used in the courses of Linguistics, Stylistics, Rhetorics, Poetics, and on the seminars on methodic of text analysis.
