Tabachek I. Formation and development of the personality of the modern teacher

The dissertation studies personal characteristics of the modern teacher, their formation and development under conditions of the Ukrainian transformational society, democratic and market transformations. Ideal models of the teacher, contradictions between the ideal teacher and reality, ways and means of their overwhelming in current conditions are analyzed. A role of modernization of education, especially in the context of implementation of Bologna process, is emphasized. Main directions of reformation of the personality of the modern teacher in educational process and out-of-class hours is discussed. The author proves that to be on demand, to be attractive and efficient, the teacher must meet practical needs, requirements of time, those prospects which are outlined in the social transformation process, to develop high personal qualities.
