Essay

The dissertation considers the complex investigation of life, social-cultural, scientific and research activities of the Ukrainian scientist and public man Mykola Fedotovych Bilyashivsky. On the basis of the analysis of M.F.Bilyashivsky's scientific heritage the author describes his contribution to the elaboration of the problems of archeology, numismatics and also of art, ethnography and museum management. The dissertation considers M.F.Bilyashivsky's cultural and organization work at the management and the enlargement of the museum net in Ukraine. It also highlights social activities of M.F.Bilyashivsky in the relics' protective movement and his work in the institutions to study historical monuments.
