Tokar S. Morfo-functional features of regulation of activity of rat adrenocortical cells.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of features of the regulation of rat adrenocortical cells ultrastructure in vitro. More friquently in culture there were the cells allocated from a fasciculate-reticularis zone. Electron-microscopic and imaging analysis methods were used for the investigation of intracellular ultrastructure of these cells. Control experiments allowed us to allocate three types of cells which differed in ultrastructure of the mitochondria, lipid droplets, smooth endoplasmic reticulum and dense bodies. Application of adrenocorticotropic hormone or calcium ionophphore А23187 resulted in the disappearance of a difference between cells with various types of ultrastructure It has been established that the increase in concentration of calcium ions in cytoplasm of adrenocortical cells influence on ultrastructure of these cells, thus they get attributes of accelerated steroidogenesis.
