Yatsyshyna O. Social-political and scientific activity of S.P.Shelukhin

The object of research - personality of S.Shelukhin at the end of XIX - first third part of XX cent., scientific, public and literary activity of the scholar. Тhe aim of research - the complex research of S.Shelukhin's activity in political, ideological, scientific, public and literary spheres, his state-building position, research of the main scientific and literary works of the scholar. Methods of research - principles: of historism, objectiveness, overallness; methods: common-science - historical and logical; special-historical - synchronistic, problem-chronological, historical-comparative, method of paralleles, of periodisation, retrospective. Theoretical results and novelty - for the first time complex research has been taken devoted to the social-political and scientific activity of S.Shelukhin, investigation and attempts of systematization of his scholar and literary heritage were made. Practical results and novelty - for the first time into the scientific usage in Ukraine a great number of archive sources, a great majority of which are located in Poland, were taken. There were published 6 articles on the theme of research. The subject and the degree of introduction - the heritage of Shelukhin, which is researched in dissertation, is used in taught courses and written articles. The effectiveness of introduction - in teaching of general and specialised courses on the Modern History of Ukraine. The sphere of use - teaching courses of history, law and political science, in further research work on the History of Ukraine and law, for preparingnof scientific publications and educational supplies.
