Essay

Research object. The Mennonite colonies of the south of Ukraine since the time of a settlement in 1789 till 1917. Aim of the research. Reconstruction of a complete picture of development of Mennonite colonies of the south of Ukraine in 1789-1917. Methods of research. Bibliographic and archive heuristics, descriptive, quantitative, gender, retrospective, historical-genetic, chronological. Theoretical results and novelty. Special complex research of evolution of the Mennonite colonies of the south of Ukraine (1789-1917). The practical results and novelty. The place of Mennonites in development of the south of Ukraine is determined; the sight on the Mennonites as cosmopolitans is founded; it is proved, that active migrate behaviour was manifestation of mentality of Mennonites as paths of the resolution of conflict on the part of authority and neighbouring inhabitants. Subject and degree of introduction. The demographic, administrative, economic, cultural processes, which occured in Mennonite colonies of the south of Ukraine during 1789-1917. Efficiency of implantation. The main theses can be used in further researches of a history of ethnic and religious structure of the population of Ukraine. Field of usage. Teaching of courses of a history of Ukraine (end of XVIII century - 1917), special courses on local history in secondary and high educational institutions.
