Some different irrelevant odour stimuli unequally influences a functional brain states and human activity. Lemon essential oil raises working speed, attention stability and caused increase of high-frequency a-band relative spectral power, that can specify additional activation of brain fronto-hippocampal system. The effect of irrelevant melissa oil has consisted in work accuracy increaseing, concentration of attention and synchronization in high-frequency a-band, that testifies about an emotional background changes in attention activation processes. Thus, for the olfactory system the model of "late selective attention" is more adequate
