Essay

The object of study - nationalistic discourses, romantic, modern and postmodern. The aim - philosophical analyses of Ukrainian national identity concept, which is represented in given nationalistic discourses. Methods are comparative, comparative-historical, structural-functional, discursive, social-critical. Theoretical results and their novelty- the concept of Ukrainian national identity is defined and analyzed. This identity is plural, heterogeneous and is constituted in different given nationalistic discourses (romantic, modern, postmodern). It is proved that talking about Ukrainian national identity is diverse. The practical significance of the work is the possibility to continue further investigation of the problems of national identity by discursive analyses methods; elaboration of new academic courses for philosophical and culturological series of disciplines. The sphere of use - teaching process, research work, philosophy, Ukrainian Studies.
