The dissertation deals with the problem of value structures in modern Russian advertising discourse on the basis of commercial and political advertising texts analysis. The comparative analysis of the two types of advertising discourse allowed to discover principal differences in value structures as well as to define the extent of correspondence of the world value picture in Russian advertising to the general cultural and national linguistic picture of the world. The comparative analysis of various value structures, in its turn, revealed common and different characteristics in semiotic, pragmatic and communicative organization of commercial and political advertising.
