Likhanova I. Development of the conception of national bibliography of Ukraine in the 20th centry.

The histori of development of the conception of the national bibliography (NB) in Ukraine in the 20th century has been elucidate in the thesis basing on the attraktion of a broad range of archival materials and scientific sources. The NB conception development in Ukraine includes four stages:the first stage - 1917-1920, the second stage - 1921-1931; the third stage - 1945-1948, and the fourth one - since the early 90's of the 20th century. Theoretical approaches have been considered which appeared at each of the stages. Considerable attention was given to the analysis of the problems and tendencies of NB development in Ukraine under the conditions of informatization of the society. The author has proposed the system NB in Ukraine which creation would permint forming a single bank of information concerning the total national stock of documents formed in the process of historical development of the state; the system creation can provide the access to the national fund of documents for the home and foreign users; this will permint to organize the functioning of the NB system as a part of international information systems on the basis of international exchange of bibliographic information.
