Nazarov I. The legal status of Supreme council of justice

The dissertation is devoted to forming and analysis of the legal status of the Supreme council of justice, research into its nature, tasks and place in the mechanism of the state power in Ukraine. The work researches powers of the Supreme council of justice, procedures and forms of its interactions with other state bodies and bodies of judicial authorities in the course of forming the judiciary; analyses disciplinary power og the Supreme council of justice as for judges and prosecutors. It formulates propositions for optimization of procedures for forming and changing staff, changes of the structure of this body, ensuring independence and objectivity of the members of the Supreme council of justice.
