Maslova N. The dynamic of functional showing's eyesight system children and teenagers by the education's process in the school

Matter - visual system of children and teenagers of different age groups during training. Purpose - to increase efficiency of prophylaxis of eye disorder which arise during training at school through studying dynamics of functional condition of visual system of children and teenagers, and revealing regulariries of its adaptation to printed matter. Methods - visometry, proxymetry, convergencemetry, binoculometry, fusiometry, determination of absolute accommodation, a polarization-optical method, visocontrastometry, pupilography, statistical analysis. Results - studying dynamics of functional parameters of schoolchildren's visual system at different stages of education will enable to develop methods of prophylaxis of eye disorder which arise in school days and are caused by quantity and quality of visual tasks; estimation of quality of printed matter for children and teenagers in terms of influence on the functional organization of visual system enables to establish physiologically proved requirements toits design; determination of the basic functional parameters of visual system of schoolchildren of different age groups will enble to develop new criteria of selecting teenagers for their vocational orientation. Novelty - it is proved, that symmetry of functioning acoomodative-convergence-pupil systems of children and teenagers of different age groups depends on quality of printed matter, and the choice of a visual system of the corresponding direction of adaptation depends both on the initial functional condition of visual system, and on quality of visual matter; we showed that there can be periods of growth of children and teenagers adverse for visual system in view of a sex; we have proved the existence of significant skewness in parameters of contrast sensitivity for the right and left eye of the big number of children and teenagers; we have developed a new form of test tables to estimate the influence of a font size on the condition of visual functions of children, teenagers and young people. The resultsof the research have been applied in medical institutions of Kharkiv: city children's polyclinics №4 and №14, oblast and city sanitary-and-epidemiologic institutions, Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgradute Education, central scientific-research laboratory of Kharkiv State Medical University (in scientific research).
