Essay

The dissertation deals with the study of self-government organization in a village during the period of the new economic policy. On the basis of the comprehensive analysis of archive materials and historiography the dissertation presents an attempt to study thoroughly the origin and development of activity of different peasant self-government organizations during the years of the new economic policy such as general-purpose, credit, special agricultural co-operative societies, machine and tractor stations, mutual assistance societies, land societies.
