The Dissertation is dedicated to the reserch of the Donbass urbanization history in 1861-1917 on the system analysis basis of the concrete historical and statistical – economscs material which was published in a literature on science, periodicals and also in archives sources. The reasons and pre – conditions of the urbanization processes are examined by the author. The special attention is paid to the specific character of the development and the productive forces allocation of the Donetsk region in the enreformed Russian empire conditions, industrial overturn and financial capital.
