Dobroscok I. Educational and Pedagogical Activity of Ivan Semenovich Orlay (1770-1829)

The thesis is dedicated to studying of scientific and pedagogical activity of I.S.Orlay and his scientific, pedagogical, educational, social and cultural legacy as well. Analysis of history, social and pedagogical premise of origin and development of scientific ideas and activity of I.S.Orlay in science, education and culture in Ukraine at the end of XVIII th and the beginning of XIX th. Centuries is done The main factors of formation and development Orlay's scientific and pedagogical outlook and educational view are described; the contents is discovered and the main trend of Orlays scientific and pedagogical activity is defined; division into periods of his activity are worked out (1789-1829); the peculiarities of organizational matters of pedagogics; scientific and methodics work of I.S.Оrlay and his practical experience at Prince Bezborodko Nezhin Gymnasium of Higher Sciences and Odessa Richelieu lyceum is analized and generalized; his scientific and educational experience of activity is actualized in modern pedagogical theory and practice in condition of modernization of national educational system
