Essay

The role of periodicals in social life of the regions is shown in the thesis on the base of integratet analysis of the press jf southern Ukraine of 90-s of the twentieth ctntury. Basic functions of the press are uncovered through interpretation of problems of cultural building with tarring into consideration time limits of the process and size of sources. The plase of the press in arranging back contact with the public and the level of influence of periodicals on the formation of public opinion is determined.
