Levkulych V. Methodological function of the category of equality when analysis transitional processes in society

Methodological role and meaning of the category of equality when analysis transitional processes in society are researched in the dissertation. Social and philosophical analysis of the formation and development of the category of equality in social and historical cognition is made. Social equality is interpreted as general and valid social value that conveys complex dialectical processes of the past and of the present and historically bears different meaningful emphasis. It is used as world outlook basis when forming social priorities of society development as well as assessment of those social processes that fundamentally change social relations, especially the structure of society. Relevance of considering social equality as one of the base state building principles is substantiated that corresponds to contemporary requirements of Ukrainian reality of building a democratic and lawful state with socially oriented economy.
