Bykova T. Creation of the Crimean ASSR.

The processes which took place on Crimean peninsula during 1917 - 1921 and which resulted in creation of territorial autonomous republic are investigated on the basis of the analysis of a considerable quantity of archival sources. The process of creation in Crimea its own forms of government after the collapse of Russian empire in 1917 is observed in the thesis. It's emphasized that Crimea was the place of severe struggle during 1917 -1920. Different governments established their own public authorities and military units in Crimea. On a peninsula numerous government bodies of Provisional Government, Crimean Tatars', coalition governments, which were formed from representatives of different local parties, Ukrainian State, anarchists', Volunteer Army (headed by A. Denikin at the beginning and later by P. Vrangel) and, finally, Bolsheviks' one were in force. It's substantiated the idea that after the final Bolsheviks' victory in Crimea the "soviet authority consolidation" process started. It's resulted inunprecedented "red terror", even during the civil war.
