Kovalchuk M. The War between the Ukrainian People's Republic and Armed Forces of the South of Russia (autum 1919)

The thesis is dedicated to the research of the war between the Ukrainian People's Republic (UPR) and the Armed Forces of the South of Russia (AFSR) in autum 1919.In the thesis, for the first time, the reasons and causes of the war between the UPR and the AFSR are examined in complex, the course of military actious between the Ukrainian armies and the white movement's armies of the South of Russia is dericted; the combat activity of the UPR armies and Ukrainian Galician army directed to protect the sovereignty of Ukraine in the struggle against the AFSR is highlighted; the reasons of the UPR losing the war against the AFSR are made dear and generalized; the role and place of the war between the UPR and the AFSR in the events of the Ukrainian National liberation struggle and the civil war in Russia 1917 - 1920 is determined.
