Mysyura O. Oleksandr Konyskyy in the public, political, cultural and educational life of Ukraine (the second half of the ХІХ century)

The object of study – the person, vital way of O.Y. Konyskyy. The purpose of study is to find out a role and place of O.Y. Konyskyy in political processes of Ukraine of second half of ХІХ century, to give the characteristic of his scientific and cultural-educational activity, to analyse publicistic and epistolary heritage. The methods used in the research are: problem-chronological, concrete-historical, comparative, descriptive, method of criticism of historical sources. The practical value of the dissertation consists in use of ideas of the dissertation, on generalized facts and conclusions at a spelling of the science works, lecture courses on a history of Ukraine, culture, ethnography, a history and theory of the Ukrainian political and cultural-educational movements and organizations. The dissertation is devoted to a complex research of life and activity of Oleksandr Yakovitch Konyskyy. The complex of factors, which affected forming of his world view, public, political, cultural and educational activity is explored in the work. His significance in formation of public movement, coming-tobe of Scientific society named after Shevchenko and matter of joining up of delimited by the empire Ukrainian lands is investigated. There is analyzed his contribution to Shevchenko studies, becoming of civil poetry and organizing of book-publishing. The author analysed Konyskyy’s participation in enlightening and national liberation movement. All it allowed a new estimation of his endowment to the scientific, social and political life of Ukraine.
