Chebakov N. Study of initial material of Western-European ecotype and based on it creation of Winter wheat varieties for conditions of Forest-Steppe and Wood-Lowd of Ukraine

Object;: the peculiarities of western european original material, which providcs the development of higly adaptike cultivars of winter bread wheat. Aim: to establish some peculiarities of economically-biological characters in variety-samples and hybrids of western european origin for practical use in breeding programs. Methods: zield and laboratory, hybridization, hybrid evaluation and selection under artificially created infection background. Novelty: there have been established some peculiarites for the original material of winter wheat of the western european ecotype for the complex of economical characters and properties. There has been determined the effectiveness of use of western ecotypic varietes based on the genome possessing wheat-rye 1BL/1RS translocation due to it the cultivars of Myronivka form an improved adaptivity. There have been identified PRT sources among these is a german line H. 6508-74. Results: there have been evaluated some peculiarities of the original material of the westerneuropean ecotype on the base of it there were obtained the cultivars of winter bread wheat with the complex of economic characters. In total there are developed 17 winter bread wheat cultivars which have been put into the Ukrainian Register of Plant Varieties. Application stage: the obtained cultivars are being grown in Ukraune, Russia and Bilorus on the of more than 50000 ha. Application area: agricultural farms on various forms of management and scientific institutions.
