Vashchuk D. „Regional Privileges of Volhyn and Kyiv Lands: Genesis and Functioning in the Second Half of the 15th - the First Third of 16th Centuries".

The author researches in his the issue of origin and functioning of the regional privileges of Volhyn and Kyiv lands in the second half of the 15th - the first third of the 16th century, completely overlooked in contemporary historiography. Before the edition of the First Lithuanian Statute (September, 1529), norms of these privileges determined principles of judicial, administrative and socio-economic life of the respective regions. The comparative analysis of the above privileges and the charters of other regions of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania has been made, the reconstruction of archetypical documents is offered as well as terms of their receipt. Functioning of the judiciary system of Volhyn and Kyiv lands has been studied on the basis of the main statements of regional privileges. The research also deals with the realization of the articles which determined basic principles of the tax system, duties and social relations.
