Vovk S. Becoming and development of inter-regional cooperation of frontier areas of Ukraine and the Russian Federation (at the end of XX century - in the beginning of XXI century).

The object of study – inter-regional cooperation of frontier areas of Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The purpose of study is on the basis of study of source base to carry out of complex historical research of questions of frontier connections adjacent regions of Ukraine and Russian Federation; to carry out the historical-critical analysis of directions, forms and methods of frontier Ukraine-Russian cooperation and to give to the recommendation concerning directions and further development of frontier cooperation. The methods used in the research are: historical, system, structurally functional, logic, the analysis and synthesis. The practical value of work consists in an opportunity of use of an actual material, basic ideas and conclusions of the dissertation in educational process at study of a courses of a history of Ukraine, special courses on politology, geopolitics, region studies. On the basis of wide source study base in the dissertation process of becoming and development of frontier cooperation of Ukraine and the Russian Federation is studied. The basic concepts and categories of frontier cooperation are opened. Mechanisms of legal regulation of the international, interstate, Ukrainian national, Russian national, inter-regional and local levels are investigated; the critical analysis of corresponding legal acts is made; lacks of national legislative bases concerning frontier cooperation of Ukraine and the Russian Federation are covered. The basic directions of cooperation are opened: trade and economic, ecological, welfare.
