Dissertation research is devoted to the pedagogical analysis of process of foundation and development of the system of local lore at schools of North-eastern Ukraine in 1920-1930. The socially-pedagogical terms of foundation and development of the system of local lore work are considered, the theoretical and methodical ground of regional activity of students is described, a specific and characteristic features of realization of this process is certain on territory of the explored region. The school study of a particular region is analysed from point of basic components of the pedagogical system namely: having a special purpose, semantic, subject, and organizational.
