Essay

In course of subject thesis for the first time it was made an attempt to study impartially and profoundly the Soviet regime authorities’ policy regarding Orthodox Church in Ukraine during the period of 1921-1928 on the basis of complex analysis of various sources and literature. It was ascertained the degree of the problem analysis in the historical science. There was examined the process of forming and functioning of various state government bodies, engaged in church issues, studied their powers and competence, established their role in implementation of the church policy. There were determined the main directions of antireligious policy, pursued by the soviet government bodies.
