In the paper the theoretical aspects of sociocultural competence are scrutinized; the essence of sociocultural competence phenomenon; structure of sociocultural competence of future teachers of the foreign languages are determined; the pedagogical conditions facilitating students' sociocultural competence development are revealed; the model of forming future teachers' of English sociocultural competence in the context of their personalities' development, self-development is worked out; menthods which are directed to forming future teachers' of English sociocultural competence are developed and approved. Results of investigation prove (demonstrate) effectiveness and expediency of using special methods according to the model of forming sociocultural competence in the process of teachers' professional training
