Shcherbina T. Physiological peculiarities of cardiovascular and respiratory systems of children with poor eyesight at primary school age.

. The object of study – cardiovascular and respiratory systems of 7-10-year-old children with weak sight. The aim of study – to elucidate functional peculiarities of cardiovascular and respiratory systems of children of primary school age with weak sight under conditions of relative rest and loads and of static and dynamic character. Methods – physiological: anthropometry, pulsometry, measurement of blood pressure, electrocardiography, rheoencephalography, spirometry; methods of mathematical statistics and correlation analysis. Is shown that 7-10-year-old children with weak sight have abnormality of the principal anthropometrical characteristics, cerebral hemodynamics, external respiration, functional state of cardiovascular system under conditions of rest and loads of static and dynamic character. In contrast to normal-sighted children, those with weak sight have more statically probable connections between the parameters under consideration, that the control group. Field of application - institutions of psychologically-pedagogical and medico-biological profile, because the results of the research can be used for elaboration of correctional-developing and rehabilitation programmes aimed at the improvement of somatic, psychological, social state of children with weak sight; in interdisciplinary researches to be compared with corresponding investigations in the field of general and age psychology, therapeutic physical training, defectology, correctional pedagogics and psychology.
