The Subject is the metabolic status and acid-basic balance of the cows and their calves in the dry-standing period. The Goal is to develop and find theoretical and experimental grounds for preventive and medical efficiency of a new stimulating effect mineral preparation enabling quick renewal of metabolism in the organism of an animal in time of any metabolic pathology. The Methods are the clinical, hematological, biochemical, atom-absorbing, physical and chemical researches of forage and estimated and statistical methods of treatment of the results. The Novelty - the nature of changing indices of metabolism of cows and their calves has been fixed in the dry-standing period as a result of the shortage of many macro and micro elements in the organism of the animals; new methods of treatment and prevention of mineral pathology have been developed. It has been found that the lack of main macro and micro elements in the ration causes disturbances in the metabolism and functional status of the liver, whichis associated by the increase of the content of bilious parcels and gamma globulins in the blood of the animals and the decrease of glucose, albumins, beta globulins, albumin-globulin factor, the disturbance of the acid-basic balance (the decrease of the indices of the general CO2, pCO2, the content of bicarbonates, the removal of buffer bases up to negligible values and the decrease of pH value of the blood).For the first time a set mineral preparation has been developed to include organic compounds of biogenic micro elements, flask and vermiculite, which stimulates hemopoese, assimilation and metabolism of macro and micro elements, albumins fusion, carbohydrates metabolism, renewal of pigmentation function of the liver, positively acts on the acid-basic balance.The "Profstimcor" preparation fed to the dry-standing cows has shoed positive impact on the albumen metabolism in the organism of calves born by such cows, which has been reflected by the increase of the level of the general albumin and its fractions, the acceleration of normalization of the acid-basic balance of the organism and has caused the increase of the resistance of animals to diseases.The scientific novelty of the researches made is patented in Ukraine.The outcomes of the researches have been added to "The Methodic recommendations on the therapy and prevention of gastric and intestinal diseases of new-born and young animals" approved by the State department of veterinary medicine, order No 53 of 14 May 2004. Technical specifications and Instructions of the State scientific research control Institute of veterinary preparations and fodder additives have been introduced on the 8th of September 2004 under No TU U 24.4-004937026501-002-2004; a declaration patent "The Preparation for preventing metabolic pathology of the dry-standing cows "Profstymcor" has been obtained 15.10.2004.The outcomes of the researches made have been introduced to the training and research farm of the National Academy of Ukraine "Velikosnitinske after the name of O.V. Muzychenka" of Fastiv district of Kiev Oblast, and also to the farms of Fastiv and Mironivka districts of Kiev Oblast, which has been confirmed by corresponding certificates.
